Overwatch 2 - Toronto

For Overwatch 2, I was given the opportunity to lead the environment efforts for Overwatch’s story missions. The first set of missions were Rio, Toronto and Gothenburg.

I joined the team the last year of production for story missions. All were around the 60-70% complete mark, requiring some layout rework with design, re set-dressing, some additional props, new modular kit parts and coordination of optimization/bug fixing efforts across the board for release.

For the subway terminal in Toronto, I did a pass reworking set dressing, adding in new blockers / cover for level design and gameplay changes, staging static bodies for narrative. I also reworked arch, trim models to reduce model complexity for perf / memory.

The Toronto model kits, textures, materials and most of the mission layout were built by Philip Klevestav, Helder Pinto, Fabien Christin, Dion Rogers, Phil Wang. Lindsay Johnson + Steven Rich for props.
